Our Story

A Letter from the Founder

Growing up in South Korea, I was taught to appreciate nature. I learned the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. And as I got older, I tried to be mindful of my environmental footprint.

When our son was born, I started to notice that most of the newborn clothes were made in poor quality. A lot of plastic toys didn’t last long and ended up in the garbage after just a few months! My sister who was living in Germany at the time sent us gifts of clothes and toys that were exactly what I was looking for - bodysuits that were made with natural fibres in timeless Danish design, soothers entirely made of natural rubber that are biodegradable, and high-quality wooden toys that our son still plays with after many years!

During the pandemic, I realized I wanted to help other families shop ethically and sustainably for their little ones, and Lilliput Children’s Boutique was born. Named after Lilliput Island, a nation of tiny people in Gulliver’s Travels, I wanted to create a place filled with clothes, toys, and gifts to make our tiny people happy today and for a better tomorrow. Since then, I have searched far and wide to source and curate the best ethical and sustainable products for babies and children of all ages.

I hope you like what I have collected for you.

Yours truly,

K.J.
